About
Bilge Şahna

Bilge Şahna, a man originally from the Yusufeli district of Artvin, was born in Erzurum in 1971. He completed his primary and secondary education in that city. During his secondary school years, the fact that he was educated in the historic building where the Erzurum Congress was held played a significant role in the development of his historical awareness and in deepening his interest in the past.

Şahna, who was introduced to art at a young age, worked as a news reporter, editor, and program producer for local television stations during his middle and high school years, in addition to his stage work. He received diction training from experts in the field; he also did voice-over work for radio programs.

During his university years, Şahna deepened his research in the fields of history, culture, and civilization, meticulously continuing the studies he began during this period for many years. While pursuing his career as a civil servant, the author remained connected to art and literature; he designed television programs and wrote columns. He also penned advertising copy, short film and television series scripts. He published his first novel, Gök Mühürleri, the product of years of research. Married with two children, Bilge Şahna continues his work in the fields of history and culture and is working on new books.

The Caucasus has been a land where the destinies of many civilizations and nations have intersected throughout history. The suffering, migrations, and wars experienced in this region have often not been adequately recounted. Gök Mühürleri was born from this silent history.
